This site is owned and operated by Tom Beeson and Beeson Services Company. We understand that privacy online is important to users of this site as well as our various other Internet Sites, especially when conducting business. This statement governs our privacy policies with respect to those users of the Site ("Visitors") who visit without transacting business and Visitors who register to transact business on the Site (“Authorized Customers”) and make use of the various services offered by Tom Beeson and Beeson Services Company (herein referred to as “BSC”)
This is our pledge to you: we will not sell, rent, or give your name or address to anyone. Ever. Period. Because we gather certain types of information about our users, we feel you should fully understand the terms and conditions surrounding the capture and use of that information. This privacy statement discloses what information we gather and how we use it.
" refers to any information that identifies or can be used to identify, contact, or locate the person to whom such information pertains, including, but not limited to, name, address, phone number, fax number, email address, financial profiles, and credit card information. Personally Identifiable Information does not include information that is collected anonymously (that is, without identification of the individual user) or demographic information not connected to an identified individual.
- Voluntary Visitor Information: Information that users provide through optional, voluntary submissions. These are voluntary submissions to register for our events (forums, free teleclasses, etc), receive our electronic newsletters, and from participation in polls, surveys and assessments. This information may include your name and email address.
- Authorized Customer Information: We collect the following additional information from our Customers: the names, addresses, phone numbers, credit/debt card number and email addresses of Customers, including personal financial information used solely for coaching purposes. Under no circumstances does BSC divulge any information about an individual user to a third party. All information is kept strictly confidential.
We offer the following free services, which require some type of voluntary submission of personal information by users:
1. Electronic Newsletters and Occasional Promotional Offers
We offer a free electronic newsletter and offer occasional promotional offers to users who voluntarily subscribe using a double “opt-in” method. BSC gathers the e-mail addresses of users who only voluntarily subscribe. We have a very strict Anti-Spam policy. Users may remove themselves from this mailing list by following the link provided in every newsletter or mailing that points users to the subscription management page.
2. Surveys and Assessments
BSC may occasionally conduct user surveys to better target our content to our audience. We sometimes share the aggregated demographic information in these surveys with our sponsors, advertisers and partners. We never share any of this information about specific individuals with any third party.
Consistent with the Federal Children's On-Line Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA), we will never knowingly request personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13 without parental consent.
BSC tracks user traffic patterns within our site. However, we do not correlate this information with data about individual users. BSC does break down overall usage statistics across all of our users, tallying users’ domain names, browser types, and MIME types by reading this information from the browser string (information contained in every user's browser).
BSC sometimes tracks and catalogs the search terms that users enter in our Search function, but this tracking is never associated with individual users. We use tracking information to determine which areas of our sites users like and don't like based on traffic to those areas. We do not track what individual users read, but rather how well each page performs overall. This helps us continue to build a better service for you.
We may place a text file called a "cookie" in the browser files of your computer. Cookies are generally harmless and are used for a variety of reasons. The cookie itself does not contain Personal Information although it will enable us to relate your use of this site to information that you have specifically and knowingly provided. But the only personal information a cookie can contain is information you voluntarily supply yourself. A cookie can't read data off your hard disk or read cookie files created by other sites. BSC uses cookies to track user traffic patterns (as described above).
We also use Cookies for security purposes to protect our Authorized Customers. For example, if an Authorized Customer is logged on and the site is unused for more than 10 minutes, we may automatically log the Authorized Customer off.
You can refuse cookies by turning them off in your browser. If you've set your browser to warn you before accepting cookies, you will receive the warning message with each cookie. You do not need to have cookies turned on to use this site. However, you do need cookies to participate actively in polls and surveys.
BSC has entered into and will continue to enter into strategic partnerships and other affiliations with a number of vendors and sub-contractors. Such vendors may have access to certain Personally Identifiable Information on a need to know basis related directly to the services we provide to our Visitors and Authorized Customers. Our privacy policy does not cover their collection or use of this information. However, we only align ourselves closely with outside vendors and sub-contracts who have a privacy policy aligned with our own.
We will disclose Personally Identifiable Information in order to comply with a court order or subpoena or a request from a law enforcement agency to release information. We will also disclose Personally Identifiable Information when reasonably necessary to protect the safety of our Visitors and Authorized Customers. We are under no obligation to notify you of such disclosure.
BSC operates secure data networks protected by industry standard firewall and password protection systems. Our security and privacy policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary and only authorized individuals have access to the information provided by our customers.
All employees and sub-contractors of BSC are familiar with our security policy and practices. The Personally Identifiable Information of our Visitors and Authorized Customers is only accessible to a limited number of qualified employees and sub-contractors who are given a password in order to gain access to the information.
Sensitive information, such as credit card numbers, is protected by encryption protocols, in place to protect information transacted over the Internet. While we take commercially reasonable measures to maintain a secure site, electronic communications and databases are subject to errors, tampering and break-ins, and we cannot guarantee or warrant that such events will not take place and we will not be liable to Visitors or Authorized Customers for any such occurrences. For such as reason we try to keep only a reasonable amount of Personally Identifiable Information necessary to transact business with our Customers.
We give users options wherever necessary and practical. Such choices include:
- Opting not to register to receive our electronic newsletters.
- Opting not to participate in certain interactive area, which completely alleviates the need to gather any personally identifiable information from our users.
- Opting not to receive any further communication from us in electronic format (E-Mail).
- Opting to have all Personally Identifiable Information completely expunged from our system upon written request.
